Cold Storage Saga

I have completed step 1 of my to-do-list which is complaint to Cold Storage online via their complaint/suggestion form yesterday night. Today I receive a reply from them:

Dear Tammy,

Thank you for taking your time & sharing your experience with us. We are really much happy to assist you as to improve our level of services to our customer. We regret such unpleasant incident had happened to you while doing your groceries at one of our stores recently. Please be assured that we look into this matter very seriously and additional measurement has been taken to ensure such experience would not occur again in the future. We would appreciate if you could leave your contact number for us. We look forward to your continued support! Thanks

regards,
info@coldstorage.com.my

I also receive another email by the Manager of Cold Storage Mont Kiara.

Dear Ms. Tammy,

First I would like to introduce myself, Tan Kok Choon, and I am the store Manager for Cold Storage Solaris. I was most perturbed to read your email, and would like to assure you that I do take such matters very seriously. I place a very high value in service to all my customers, and am disappointed that you did not receive the service that we should have been given. I have reprimanded the Supervisor concerned and she will be getting a final written warning for her unprofessional conduct. I would also like to assure you that we do not set out to be unethical or unprofessional, and that we constantly strive for service excellence. We also frequently send our staff on training courses to educate them as to the customers needs. I would like to take this opportunity to formally apologize to you for the series of unfortunate mishaps in my store, and also to invite you for a cup of coffee in our coffee shop at Cold Storage Solaris at your convenience, where we could settle your problems to your satisfaction. I can be contacted on XXXXXXXXX. Once again please accept my sincere apologies.

Yours sincerely,
Tan Kok Choon.

I am grateful for the prompt reply to my complaint and would love that they improve their customer service & take steps to prevent the overcharging from repeating again. Should I go meet up Mr. Tan to have a cup of coffee? What would I say or do? Do I stomped in and seriously show him my dissatisfaction or go with a smiling face (and later people think I'm not serious?). HOW?

Cold Wars with Cold Storage

9/6/09
Bought Chicken Soup was charged RM8-99
(original price rm6-99)
AND I JUST REALIZE I MISSED THIS ONE OUT
(must be too relax thinking Cold Storage won't repeat same mistake)

16/6/09
Bought Chicken Soup x 2
cold storage charged me rm8-99 x 2

28/6/09
Bought Chicken Soup Can x 2
cold storage charged RM8-99 x 2

Ok ok I know you are going to screw me up when I say that I did not really officially complain to Cold Storage Management yet about them always trying to ROB ME out of few ringgit or cents. SO I thought ok maybe they will clean up their act ever since I been telling them I got overcharged all the time. Imagine this, last week I was overcharged by rm2-00 for a can of soup (and I bought 2 cans!) I was given a refund on the spot once I voiced out (suprisingly they don't need to go check the item at the shelves this time!). Yesterday I went to buy groceries again and I was overcharged again RM2 each for 2 cans of soup! (my bf paid so he didn't realize anything). I only realize it when I got home.. slap my forehead about not checking what he paid for.

SO I WAS DAM PISS, I called up the number on the receipt. Guess what? it's their supervisor at the Cold Storage I shop at. I had dealt with her before and I realize no use calling the number coz they never clean up their act or APOLOGIZE!!! How many times I got OVERCHARGED NOW? 6-8times??? and that's the ones that I have evidence to show!

SO WHO CAN GIVE ME COLD STORAGE MANAGEMENT HQ CONTACT OR EMAIL? I'D LIKE TO GIVE THEM A PIECE OF MY MIND.

UPDATE 3/7/09: I was overcharged not once but $%^^& freakin many times! read this!
Did I miss any blog post out? I can't even remember how many times I rant about this stupid matter here. And I was too RELAX thinking they'll brush up! No Sireee.. looks like they're quite happy ripping customers off! especially the EXPATRIATES living arount Mont Kiara! I'm going to dig out all my EVIDENCE, POST THEM HERE and Make an OFFICIAL COMPLAIN TO NEWSPAPER AND COLDSTORAGE AND CONSUMER TRIBUNAL!

TO DO LIST
1. email cold storage (done)
2. write official complaint letter
- send by fax, post & A.Registered Post (yes all 3 methods)
3. C.C the letter
- consumer tribunal & Malay Mail Newspaper
4. write to MP (DAP) in charge of Mont Kiara area
- Mr. Lim Lip Eng whom I had helped create & design his campaign manifesto and flyers for his election in March. So happy I could help abit.

oi pls don't laugh at my poster
I did this in half and hour before sending it to print!
it's free anyway I volunteer to help his campaign
nobody complain ah!!!!
it was worth it because he won!
Jom Ubah!

Crabtree & Evelyn Haul

Few days ago I receive my Crabtree & Evelyn member newsletter containing some rebate vouchers & a freebie redemption! The freebie redemption is for members who update your profile with Crabtree & Evelyn. You get a free Gardener's Hand Recovery 25g upon updating your profile. Just fill up the update form :)

This time Crabtree & Evelyn has some really good promotions. There's 2 types of rebate coupons (can be combined together!):
  • RM100 off when u purchase RM280
+ get a free Nantucket Briar Hand Therapy Sampler worth rm75.
  • RM220 off when u purchase rm480
+ get a free distillation body care kit worth RM115
42 bars of crabtree & evelyn soap

SO after much thinking because at first I didn't know what to even buy as I had quite a number of crabtree & evelyn products at home already. Then as I sat down talking to my friend I realize hey I should get the soaps as Christmas Gifts this year, I mean Christmas is 5 months away but every Christmas season I had to spend $$$ to buy gifts for families especially the Aunties & Uncles coz we all exchange gifts during Christmas dinner. There's also the usual company christmas exchange gifts too. I did the calculations in my head and finally decided to buy SOAPS as Christmas gifts this year. I mean hey it's not just some soap, it's Crabtree & Evelyn soaps! (a bit luxurious compare to buying normal soap from Giant/Tesco). It makes a perfect simple gift!

after rebates each soap cost rm11!

By using 1 each rebate coupon, my total spending for buying 14 sets of soaps (each set has 3 pieces of soap) RM55 X 14 sets (42 bars of soap)= RM770 total spending. MINUS REBATE RM320 (rm100+rm220) I only need to pay RM450. Each soap would cost nearly rm11! (pls don't tell my aunties and uncles how much their christmas gift is going to cost this year!).

the freebies I got from my haul!
rm450 spent, got rm348 worth of freebies
(not counting the pink bag)

If you happened to purchase this at Gurney Plaza or KLCC Crabtree & Evelyn store (which is their Birthday) you enjoy an additional birthday gift of a relaxing body smoother worth rm158 with purchase of rm350 above. In addition, the store promotion of purchase rm380 above you can also get the Pink Crabtee & Eveylyn Princess Bag with charms!!!

the princess bag is spacious and there's a brush compartment too!

has cute charms on it with ribbon, I really like this bag!

SO too bad.. I will be giving soaps this Christmas. Have a Relaxing & Enchanting Christmas! (so early wishing bwhahaha). I love Christmas, it's the time of giving and my birthday after it too! HINT HINT.

P.S: Just imagine I spend rm450 for 42 bars of soap. If i convert the freebies into it's value's worth (RM450-RM348 = RM102) and if the pink bag is RM50 (just example), my total spendings for my soaps is RM52 only. Which makes each soap costing RM1-20!!! muahaha.. ok I know I am dreaming, it's just that if you could turn your freebies into value, that is how much my soap is going to cost me. FREAKING delirious.

oh and if anybody wanna buy crabtree soap from me at rm11, let me know. I got 42 bars! no problem to share hahaha!!!

Help Baby Kai Xin

On 25th June The Star's Metro Section highlighted the plight of 8 month old Baby Kai Xin who is diganosed with biliary atresia after developing jaundice when she only three months old.
Biliary atresia is a condition in which the bile produced by the liver cannot flow from the liver to the gall bladder, resulting in liver damage and ultimately, liver failure.
The parents of Baby Kai Xin is seeking help to raise monies so that Baby Kai Xin can undergo a liver transplant in Singapore. The estimate cost of this operation is estimated to cost a whopping RM500k! Now we all know the average families in Malaysia don't even have rm500k! I know because I don't even have 5k in savings & I live month to month just by my salary.

save this button and link to Baby Kai Xin's blog!

Reading their blog it brought me to tears of what they're going through especially Baby Kai Xin. As much as I would like to help by not only donating, I am also appealing to anyone who comes across this post to help them whether by donating, spreading the word, blogging, etc! Thanks to Von who brought up the idea of Bloggers 4 Charity, I have joined forces with her to blog about Baby Kai Xin's plight and make a button with a direct link to Baby Kai Xin's blog & anyone's blog post link to appeal for help under it. If you're reading this and you're a blogger, please help spread the word and raise funds for Baby Kai Xin to have a liver transplant.

True, This! -
Beneath the rule of men entirely great,
The pen is mightier than the sword. Behold
The arch-enchanters wand! - itself a nothing! -
But taking sorcery from the master-hand
To paralyse the Caesars, and to strike
The loud earth breathless! - Take away the sword -
States can be saved without it!

The pen is mighter than the sword, and in our case, blogging where we bloggers can not only stop war with it but help people too.

Stila PAV Extended!

Just as I thought, Luxasia has extended again the Stila Sales. We all know that Stila Pavillion is the last standing Stila counter in Malaysia and they should've closed by end of June. However things has change and they're closing down this Sunday instead of today 30/6/09.

I am already deeply dissapointed at Luxasia's management especially the person in charge of Stila. Until now I have not receive my compensation gift PPG Lip Gloss, my replacement red carpet rose & my missing stone necklace from fall fantasy palette will not be entertained. I have spent rm50 in total taxi charges just to go not ONE TIME but TWICE to Stila Pavillion to collect the items which was suppose to be sent there for me, but the girl FORGOTTEN TWICE to send it. I receive no further apologies whatsoever from all this drama. I am considering of writting an official complaint letter to address to Luxasia for such a unruly behavior of lying, overcharging, bad customer service and I was never apologized to for everything that happen. It's as thought it was MY FAULT this happen. Watch out Luxasia, if u piss me off, I know what to do.

Few questions to ask yourself if you want to go to this warehouse sales:

    (or blogshop/bargain hunter/personal shopper/etc)

    - if you are u might consider going on first day & last day (for chances of price reduction).

The attack of the killer hair

    Before Tarzan, After Cinderella

Today I walk in to Jean Yip Hair Saloon in curve to redeem my hair spa+rebonding service that I have purchased last week from 1utama Jean Yip promo roadshow. Ok please don't laugh at my before picture >_< somehow I feel that my hair is sexy until I look at the pictures I take which look like I'm from Tarzan movie. SO FEEDUP of my uncontrollable hair I finally went to REBOND IT. It took about nearly 3 hours for the entire process to end. My hair feels nice now and soft! I'm suppose to go back for hair cut + treatment which I paid rm88 promo price tomorrow or so.

not exactly freebie but.. then again :D
    didn't expect to get it!

I bought the Malaysian Women's Weekly recipe book for healthy meals rm9-90 and I was given the last Nando Goodie Pack with 2 full size Nando's famous peri peri sauce bottles in it! (i've been wanting to get a bottle ever since i finish my supplies, I love spicy sauces/food!). Not sure if other MPH Bookstores are having this promo? they seemed to be clearing that recipe booklet (that came out last year for rm9-90).

This clearly shows I've been spending a substantial time at One Utama this week haha! so while I was there for the shampoo exchange program, I spotted something I didn't know! My pic was pin up for the photo contest! (which today Sunday would be already over, I wonder who was the winner? sob sob i was not there).

    can u spot my pic?

I wanted to try Ascience shampoo & conditioner so I bought the 550ml bottles and got a free rm20 hair wash voucher from A Cut Above, a sample pack, a exclusive gift set, hair & makeover and a photo of it to bring back (with the duplicate being put up for contest).
